Congratulations, you survived! As you now know High School is not as bad as people made it out to be. No one is thrown in trashcans or dunked in toilets, and for the most part people are actually nice to each other.
We asked freshman, Kimberly Thea a few questions to get a feel for how her first year at Great Oak went. Q:How does the end of your first year here compare to the beginning of the year? A: “At the beginning of the year I was nervous and anxious about entering high school but by the end of the year I have made lots of friends and I am excited for the years to come.” Q:Are you excited to become a sophomore? A: “Yes. It will be nice to not be a freshman anymore.” Q:What do you expect sophomore year to be like? A: “I expect to gain more knowledge from my peers and teachers. I also hope to make new friends” Q: Do you have any summer plans? A: “I don’t have anything major planned, but I m hoping to have a fun summer with my friends. I’ll probably be at the beach most of the time.” Q:What was the most exciting thing about this year? A: “My most exciting experience would probably be when I made the JV Tennis team. I’ve been practicing a lot and am glad I have such a great team.” Q: Did you learn from any mistakes? If yes, what so? A: “I have learned to live in the moment and stop worrying about the future.” Q: Are you more comfortable with high school now that you have experienced an entire year of it already? A: “Yes I am definitely more comfortable with high school now.” Congratulations all you freshman out there and good luck in you sophomore year! |
